The Big Move

I have been anticipating and preparing for today for nearly a year now. We put our house on the market and packed a ton of stuff up back in August. Now its the end of June, our house is still not sold, but it is FINALLY moving day.
Dan Hesler was so sweet to help us load everything up. It was a bit of a challenge. I was advised to get the 16ft truck and since we had sold our couches, table and chairs, and a ton of other stuff, we thought it would work. We filled it and both our cars and still had to leave a few things. We made it work though thanks to Devan superior tetris like packing skills. Oh, excuse me. NINJA like packing skills.
This makes it look like I didn't help, but I promise I did.
Graduation was Friday, Saturday we moved, and Devan starts his new program on Monday. No time to spear.
Our Last Sunday, the Ward gave us quite the farewell. The Primary had me come in and they sang to me and gave me a card and picture of them all. We were also given a ward picture and sweet note. We're going to miss our Wilmington family.

Graduation

Well I never thought this day would come, but here it is. Devan is graduating from General Surgery Residency. I can't even begin to say how proud of him I am. It was a long brutal 5 years, both professionally and personally. What an accomplishment. We love you Dev and are so proud of you. Congrats Dr. Griner!!!!!

The Official Paper
Devan won the award for Excellence in Research
The night before we had a little party in the park for the Hospital
Larry Watson, Dan Hesler, and Devan. Larry also graduated and Dan did his intern year with them, but went on to do Anesthesia.

Sad I didn't get more pics of the Roast that night, but we had a great time. The Jr. residents made a video roasting Devan and Larry and then the two of them got to roast all the other residents and Attendings. Lots of good laughs. Koi Le and Lauren surprised Devan with a ninja umbrella.
A thank you from the Seconds Change group.

Storybook Island

Of course you can't go to Rapid without going to Storybook Island. Jamis enjoyed it so much more this year. Of course the trains were his main focus.

I think they rode this thing 20 times.
Kaylyn loved all the animals

Still can't detour from the train.

All 4 grandbabies

Kaylyn found this little ant and took around with her. It was "her pet" and when it was time for us to leave to get lunch Kaylyn didn't understand why her pet couldn't go too. She kept telling us that "she is hungry too."
Little Morgan got so sleepy at the end

Jaxon looked so mad that he didn't get to go on the train too. Next year buddy.

Brett & Tiff's Wedding

What a GREAT day!
It was so much fun helping my little brother get ready for his big day.

He even sported the "Getting Married" good luck socks
Everyone looked their best.
What a handsome stud
The ceremony took place at the chapel. It was beautiful. It was a full house. Taylor played the violin as the wedding party came in and then Jake and Brett's friend took over playing acoustic guitars "You look wonderful tonight" by Eric Clapton, as Tiff walked in. She was stunning. Her dress was absolutely gorgeous. They both were beaming and teary. The bishop spoke of the Proclamation and the importance of marriage. Jamis was the ring bearer and of course didn't quite get it and ran up on the stage and threw the pillow at Brett. It was cute. It was a beautiful ceremony. I am so proud of Brett for making this commitment and so glad Tiff is finally officially a Trotter.
My handsome groom
Bryant Karuas and Morgan
So I hate to even claim it, but I made the cake. It look great for about a minute and then....not so much. You wouldn't know it by looking at it, but I spent days on this cake. Why is it when I try my hardest and care the most, my cakes don't turn out and then the ones I throw together look great! This poor cake was melting and sliding, and doing who knows what. At least it tasted good though. There wasn't a crumb left. I will never make a wedding cake for someone I care about again though. Thankfully Tiff is so relaxed though she said she loved it and didn't care in the least.

G&G Ball, Jenny & Paul, Kim & Jeff, John & Crystal, and all the kids came for the big day. I love my family.
What a sweety.

I love that my two Grandma's love each other so much.

Jamis had the time of his life. He played golf, jumped off the rock, and danced up a storm. He had everyone at the reception laughing like crazy. This kid loves being the center of attention and cannot hear music with out busting a move.
Congrats Brett and Tiff! We love you.
