Days with Dad

Anytime with Dad is always a time full of adventure.  It didn't take very long for the boys to pick up on this little fact.
A little roadside construction turned into a magical theme park of dirt, tires, and steering wheels.

A bike ride is great, but a bike ride in the rain is so much better.

So proud of his back flip on the rings.  Great dismount too.
Even Daddy finds a future dream out there too.

Going Nuts

We recieved a package today that much to my dismay and the boys' delight, was FILLED with packing peanuts.

Jax was sad they didn't taste good
I know I'll be finding these for months to come.

Random September moments

Jax is such a ham.  This is his new preferred way to 'suck' on his Binky
Jaxon's first time wearing jeans
So Smiley
 Always a good eater.
Jax loves chewing on feet and unfortunately not only his.  Every time I sit on the floor with him he somehow manages to get some part of my foot in his mouth.  So gross buddy, so gross.
 Best buddies
Everyday Jamis asks to read a book to Jaxon.  Melts my heart
Oh, boy.  I pee a little every time I see this pic.  Poor kid.  Sometime crap happens love, sorry.

Sleeping babes

There is nothing cuter than a sleeping child.  Oh, the positions they get themselves into.
Our little butterfly

Just couldn't make it through the movie.  (this has been Jamis's outfit of choice lately.  Tee Shirt, Undies, and slippers.  The pants come off right as soon as he hits the front door).
Have to be sure that buddy is ready for school

Your Chariot Awaits

Usually guys don't think too much about baby things, but like most things, my Devan is not the usual.  When we were dating he always talked about getting a "Chariot" for his kids.  He would go on and on and on about how cool it was and how he just couldn't wait to get it.  Well.....his wish finally came true.
For those of you who are wondering what a Chariot is, it's what I've come to realize is probably to most essential baby gear there is (ok I guess Devan is right about a few things).  It is a stroller, jogging stroller, bike trailer, you can take it cross country skiing, you can pull it behind you as you run.  It does it all.
Daddy taking the boys on their first ride.
I got a road bike when I was prego, but have never gotten to ride it outside (I've had it on the trainer) until now.  I have found my calling.  Watch out Lance Armstrong
Jamis is always making sure Jax is safe and comfy.

Labor Day weekend

I love long weekends.  Labor Day weekend is always my favorite.  Not only is it the day my sweety became all mine (thanks for 6 wonderful years Devan) its a weekend that Devan also typically has off.  This Labor Day/Anniversary Weekend we spent with our Wilmington Fam the Arnes.  Of course no trip of ours is ever short of adventure.  The day we were leaving our cabin fell through.  Luckily Devan's old attending, Dr. Harris, came through and let us use his place in Boone, NC which wasn't far from our original destination.
Getting ready to hike near Grandfather Mountain
Those baby blues
Jamis had to get in the carrier when it was time for a rest.  He wasn't too happy, but fell asleep in 5 mins flat.
Jax wasn't sure about climbing off the rock
 Devan and his boyfriend
Jamis had the time of his life.  He had his Beckie and Gab back AND got to jump off rocks.  Life doesn't get any better.
Cabot trying to act excited about our adventures
Poor kid, no one loves him
 Peek a boo
Since we were on our mountain adventure I was letting Jamis pee outside a lot more than normal.  Then one day while he was doing said activity he started going "Woow look how far I can go" as he was peeing a mile away and making shapes on the ground.  I laughed and then told Devan, thinking he came up with this all on his own.  Devan, not surprised at all, then showed me this picture.
Jax learned some bad behavior too
Mile high bridge on Grandfather mountain
It was so misty up on the mountain
This bridge is a mile high from sea level and 80ft from the ground.  It was actually pretty fun to walk across.  It gently swung in the breeze.
So on our way to Linville Falls, Cameron got a little car sick and threw up EVERYWHERE.
Since it was the trip of too many bodily functions, Jamis just had to go to the bathroom that very moment.  Oh, the poor people driving by. (see how amused Jamis is with this whole thing).  The kicker of the whole thing though is when Dev put him back in the car he said, "I crapped in the woods like a bear"  I still am going to spank the person who taught my son that 'c' word!
At least it made Cameron feel better about his bodily functions
