June Roundup

When you have an OCD child such as Jamis, actually getting dirt on your face, feet AND hands is a document able moment.

Love this little bug.  I can't believe how big he is.

Daddy hard at work

Love it when the boys actually play together.

Stone Mountain

Every month we make the trek down to Atlanta to go to the Temple (ok ok we shoot for every month) with the McGuires.  This month we decided to make a day of it and go to Stone Mountain afterwards for the Laser Show Extravaganza.

No water can go untouched by Jamis.  Of course he "fell" in and just had to take a swim too.

 Our little comfort creature.

Right when the show was starting, a huge thunder storm rolled in.  We were soaked but thankfully all were still happy so we were able to still see the show.

Resident Campout 2012

This was the first annuel Plastic Surgery Resident Campout.  We had a blast spending time with our work family and enjoying Chester Frost campground.
As always Devan made the worlds best rope swing for the youngins.

The boys loved playing at the lake

Boys and Blueberries

I love going to berry farms and being able to pick our own delicious harvest.  This year we wen to a blueberry farm and let the boys go wild.
Jamis really got into picking this year and didn't let up the entire time we were out there.
A few months ago I started nannying for a little boy.  Here he is trying put picking all by himself.
Jax and Ike are 4 months apart and great little buddies

Jamis and his best bud Eli taking the picking very serious.
So proud of all his berries.  He got nearly a half gallon all by himself.
This cute little farm even had toys to play on.

Picking in the heat is hard work.  No one made it home.
Such a sweet big brother.

Oh, what do you do in the summer time????

The Griner boys...
 Play on construction equipment

Fall into slimy gross storm water ponds

Clean the inch of mud off their shoes in puddles

And when the puddle doesn't work....

Soccer

I am officially a SOCCER MOM!!!!  We were so excited to sign Jamis up for the YMCA indoor soccer team.  He was so ecstatic to get a new soccer jersey and soccer socks.  I died laughing every time he put them on.  He got the extra small and he still was swimming in them.  Here is picks of his first game.
The first few minutes of every game they have practice.  Jamis was all about it.

 Kicking hard
 Running fast
 Getting the ball just right

The determination and concentration was written all over his face.
So excited to really be playing soccer
Little brother on the sidelines cheering him on
 His first team huddle

The whistle blows and this is Jamis "playing" his first soccer game.
At least he has the ball here
Woot Woot!  He is actually on his feet, but where are his hands????
Making snow angels.  Well maybe it was his super sneaky way of blocking the goal.
Every game of the season was exactly like this.  I don't think he kicked the ball once or was ever "in" the game.  So funny though.  We all had a blast and he loved being on a team and getting a snack after the game.  At least he got his soccer jersey!
