Random January Moments

Jamis still loves going to open gym at the Gymnastics center.  This last week I was finally able to talk him into jumping off the "high jumping thing."
Of course I couldn't get him off the rest of the time.

Jaxon has finally caught on the the wonders of the Gymnastics center.  These were the best pics I could get of him the entire 2 hours.  First time EVER he has wanted nothing to do with me.

It has been the warmest, mildest winter ever.  I am not complaining though cause we can still go to the park all the time.  Lately Jamis has become quite the little tree climber as well as picture poser.  "take a picture of me mom"  Of course Buddy still comes along for all our adventures.
For the last year or so I've been trying to get Jamis to try a sandwich with no success.  He wouldn't even look at them.  Then today everything changed.  He asked to make his own and.....
he LOVED it!!!  Now I finally have a PB and J lunch buddy.

Jamis has a best friend

It seems like as soon as Jamis turned 3 something clicked in him and he is all about FRIENDS.  It is so cute seeing him play with kids at the park or talk about friends when we are driving around.  He even as a best buddy, Eli.  These two are quite the little pair.
We went to the temple with Eli's family and the whole day the boys would walk around holding hands.  What a treat to be able to sit next to each other on the drive home too.
Whats better than a bike ride with your buddy?  A bike ride with your buddy on matching Lightning McQueen bikes!!!
Its so fun watching Jamis make memories with his first best buddy.

The morning after Jax's party I decided to let Jamis have at it at the rest of the birthday cake for breakfast.  You would've thought I gave him the moon.

At least I didn't have to be tempted by it for the next several days.

Happy Birthday Jaxon!!!

I can't believe my little miracle baby is already ONE year old.  How fast time flies.  It literally seems like we were still praying for the little bundle to find his way to us.  Now he is crawling on everything, climbs on chairs, eats everything he gets his hands on to, weighs in at 28 lbs, and has 12 teeth.  He loves to go to the park, be pushed around on the tricycle, but the best thing is still Mom.  At times I swear he is trying to crawl back inside me.  He is developing such a sweet personality.  He gets so excited every time he sees his Dad or big brother.  He is quite attached to his Binky and his polka dot blanket.  Everyday with him is quite the adventure.  To celebrate what an amazing year its been, we had a little birthday bash under the sea style.
The prince waiting on his throne for his guests to arrive.
I had so much fun decorating.
The birthday cake and Jaxon's very own smash cake.
Jamis was so excited about the party and helped with every little detail (he kept begging for the party to start already).  The only thing he requested was birthday hats.  He was so excited to help make them all.
We had lots of food.
Jamis and his best buddy Eli ready to party it up.
Sweet little Chloe and Ali in full party mode

 Momma and the birthday boy
"Something good is coming huh, mom"

 Dig in little man
This is good stuff
And I'm spent
Nicely done Jax, nicely done.
Everyone else wanted in on the action too.
Our in house clown and his balloon magic
Hailey tried to give Jax birthday hugs, but he wasn't having any of those girl germs.

What a great day and fun party.  Happy first birthday little man.

Jaxon's first Haircut

For some reason I think that a boys first haircut is a momentous occasion.  Its that first big step crossing over from babydom to toddlerhood.  So sad to see my little Gus Gus make that step already.

Oh no....what the heck is this about!?!
Ok, that helps a little bit.
Never mind!!!!  Stop it lady! What the heck are you doing to me.  I don't want to grow up!!!
 Seriously.  You guys are horrible

Jax was definitely not a fan of the haircut, but what boy in our house is.  Thanks Ashley for doing such a great job making my little man look like a little man.

Jamis is a Primary Boy

My baby is now a Primary child.  Oh, where does the time go.  His first Sunday went great.  He got a good report from his teacher, Sis. Hammons, no tears where shed, and he even sang along in singing time.  His only comment at the end of the day was a very sadly said comment, "my new class doesn't have toys, mom."  Poor kid I hope he can survive.
