His little personality is coming out more and more now. He is loves to smile and talk to anyone who will listen. He is a very strong boy, holding his head up well and loves to play with his hands. Just can't get enough of him.
Jamis's new love is basketball. He is especially fond of the new hoop his daddy got him. Throwing rocks, trains, and cars still top the list. He has also become very particular about everything in his life. Nothing can be different. Mom has to sit a certain way and only in a few spots. The curtains have to be just so. He has to pick out his own clothes. He really is realizing his control or lack thereof on the world. Our move in two months is going to be interesting.
He also has a new fear of bugs. Oh, my. Going outside has been quite traumatizing lately (though oddly that's all he wants to do). He can't see a fruit fly go by or an ant crawl across without a complete breakdown. Now living in the southern part of the country has not been kind to this fear. I'm just waiting til the spiders come out this summer to see the fireworks start.
Even the goodness of ice cream couldn't overcome the coma the stroller produces.
So everyday Jamis likes to collect rocks in his trunk and ride down to the ditch by our house. The ditch slopes down from the street and Devan and I have been just waiting for the moment when he would get too close and end up in the water with his rocks. I felt like such a horrible mother sitting on the side of the road laughing and taking pictures when it actually happened. He doesn't get too close anymore though.
